You’re motivated, and you’re inspired, but don’t know where to begin? Don’t worry we’ve all been there.
Firstly, you need to decide on your goal. This could be to lose fat, gain muscle, eat better. Once you’ve decided on a goal, measure yourself using scales and a tape measure. These can be bought cheaply and they are easy to use. I suggest using these two methods because depending on your goal, one method might not be an accurate represention of your progress. For example, you’ve lost fat, but gained some muscle, so your weight might remain the same, but your body measurements will show a loss. Never rely completely on one measurement. Use how you look in the mirror, and how your clothes fit on you to also measure your goals.
Below is a visual guide to BF% (Source: Builtlean), which you could use as a rough guide to set and measure your goal.
